One installer per product, covering every supported Revit version. Each is signed by Neosphyr Ltd and ticks the Revit versions it finds on your machine, so in most cases the right choice is already made for you. The plug-ins are released separately, so each carries its own version number.

Try it on something
A sample Revit project
A small federated model to try BWIC Compliance and BWIC Extractor on, if you do not have one to hand. Three linked files — the main model, an architectural link and an MEP link — with builders work openings already modelled, plus one tested-detail data pack to import. Open the main model, import the pack, and run a scan.
The records in it describe no real manufacturer, product or test report. They are there to show how the software behaves, and must never be used to justify anything that gets built.

System requirements

- 2024 · 2025 · 2026 · 2027. One installer covers all four — it ticks the versions it finds installed and leaves the rest unselected.

- Revit 2023 and earlier. macOS is not supported.
- Operating system
- Windows, 64-bit
- Runtime
- .NET Framework 4.8 for the Revit 2024 build; .NET 8 for 2025 and 2026; .NET 10 for 2027. Revit itself installs the runtime it needs.
- Permissions
- Administrator rights are required. The add-in is installed once for every user on the machine, not into a single user profile, so Windows will ask for elevation.
- Where it installs
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\<year>up to Revit 2026, andC:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\2027from Revit 2027 — Autodesk moved that folder in the 2027 release.- Connectivity
- An internet connection is needed to activate a licence and periodically to re-verify it. A 14-day offline grace period lets you keep working without one.

Transparency
What the plug-in sends us
The first time you press one of our buttons, a panel explains the two things the software can send us, and lets you switch both off in a single click. Switching them off costs you nothing: no feature is withheld.
What never leaves your computer: file names and project names, folder paths, family, type, parameter and level names, email addresses, your machine name and your own name. Everything that is sent passes through a filter that removes them — on your computer, and again on our servers — and anything that does not come out clean is discarded rather than sent.
We never receive the content of your models: no geometry, no parameter values, no drawings, no schedules.
We built it that way because a Revit model is routinely covered by a confidentiality obligation towards the building owner. A fault report carrying a project path would not merely breach our own policy — it could put you in breach of yours.

Installation questions
Do I need a separate installer for each Revit version?
No. Each product has one installer that carries the build for every supported Revit version. It detects which versions of Revit are on the machine and ticks those; you can change the selection if you want.
I installed a new version of Revit. How do I add it?
Settings → Apps → Installed apps → find the Neosphyr product → Modify, then tick the new version. There is no need to uninstall anything. From the command line, msiexec /i <installer>.msi ADDLOCAL=ALL adds every version at once.
Can I install more than one Neosphyr product?
Yes. The products are independent add-ins and sit side by side on the same ribbon tab. Each is licensed separately.
Will it work on a locked-down corporate machine?
It needs administrator rights to install, because it installs for every user on the machine. Once installed it needs no special privileges to run. Some organisations block third-party add-ins by policy — ours are signed by Neosphyr Ltd, which is usually what an IT team needs in order to allow them.
Windows says it protected my PC. Is something wrong?
No. SmartScreen judges download history, not the signature alone, and a certificate issued recently has no history yet — Microsoft removed instant reputation for new certificates in 2024, so every new publisher goes through this period. Click More info, then Run anyway, and check the publisher reads NEOSPHYR LTD. It clears by itself as downloads accumulate.
The Neosphyr tab is missing after installing.
Almost always because Revit was open during installation. Close Revit completely and run the installer again.
How do I activate a trial?
Start the product inside Revit and enter your name, company and email. The trial licence is issued and activated immediately, without waiting for an email.
